In a landmark sporting event held for the first time, Orange County, California, celebrated the launch of Al Ahly Football Academy under the supervision of Coach Ehab Zenga. The academy’s debut opens new opportunities for young soccer talent in the United States, offering members of the community professional training inspired by the proud legacy of Al Ahly Africa’s Club of the Century.
The academy hosted its inaugural Academy Kickoff & Clinic on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Field No. 7 in the Great Park of Orange County, amid an exciting atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and engagement.
The event brought together a large number of boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17, who showcased their soccer skills and participated in a variety of training sessions and activities. The initiative reflects the academy’s mission to identify promising young talent, develop players’ abilities, and prepare a new generation of athletes in a professional and supportive environment.
The launch of Al Ahly Football Academy in Orange County marks an important step toward expanding the club’s presence beyond Egypt and strengthening the connection between Egyptian and Arab communities in the United States and one of Africa and the Middle East’s largest and most historic sporting institutions.
