EgyptAir Launches Its New Los Angeles Office Ahead of First Direct Flight to Cairo with Official Support and Strong Community Efforts 🇪🇬🇺🇸✈️

In a strategic milestone that further strengthens direct air connectivity between Egypt and the United States, EgyptAir has announced the completion of securing its new operational headquarters in El Segundo, California, in preparation for launching its first-ever direct flight in the airline’s history between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Cairo, scheduled to begin on May 23.

This important project was supported directly by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Hossam Eldeen Aly, Consul General of Egypt in Los Angeles and the Western United States, whose efforts played a key role in facilitating the establishment of EgyptAir’s new operational presence in the city. The step reflects Egypt’s commitment to strengthening connectivity and reinforcing strategic ties between Egypt and the U.S. West Coast 🇪🇬✈️🇺🇸

Continuous efforts by the General Union of Egyptians Abroad in the United States, led by businessman Mr. Raafat Salib, also contributed significantly to supporting EgyptAir’s presence in Los Angeles. Through institutional engagement and sustained community advocacy, the Union helped advance calls for launching a direct air route linking members of the Egyptian and Arab communities with their homeland highlighting the Union’s active national and community role in serving diaspora interests and strengthening the presence of Egyptian national institutions across the United States.

The process of securing the new office premises was carried out by California Real Deal, under the leadership of the Real Estate Broker and CEO Amany Gobran, also Chair of the Invistment and Finance Committee of the General Union of Egyptians Abroad in the United States, in coordination with Mr. Mahmoud Sakr, EgyptAir’s Executive Director in Los Angeles. Together, they successfully completed the commercial and legal lease negotiations, culminating in the signing of the final agreement and paving the way for EgyptAir’s official operational launch in the city for the first time.

This achievement marks an important step toward strengthening economic relations, tourism exchange, and air transportation services between Egypt and Southern California, while opening new opportunities for the Egyptian and Arab communities, as well as business and travel sectors in both countries.

EgyptAir is scheduled to operate the new route three times weekly—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 5:45 PM, arriving in Cairo at approximately 5:00 PM the following day, with an estimated flight duration of 13 hours and 45 minutes.

This expansion represents a historic step in reinforcing EgyptAir’s presence in the U.S. market and supporting travel, investment, and cultural and economic exchange between Egypt and the United States adding a new milestone to the growing record of bilateral cooperation between the two nations. 🇪🇬🤝🇺🇸✈️
